Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is filled with a variety of different aquatic animals as well as various cute land animals.
There are live shows available throughout the day at scheduled times, which are listed on their website. The live performances were captivating and I enjoyed the dolphins’ performance the most.
Apart from the massive aquariums, Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise also has various attractions and rides such as a roller coaster ride (The Leviathan), a boat ride, fishing spots where you can catch and cook your own fish as well as fish farms. The roller coaster was absolutely scary, it had multiple drops and loops. Although it was fun, we queued about 40 minutes for the roller coaster.
There is a food court with various lunch options including fast food. Relatively cheap and filling. There is also a souvenir shop however the products were on the pricier side.
I highly recommend anyone visiting to book the tickets in advance as the queues for purchasing tickets on-site that day were very long. Fortunately for us, we booked the day pass in advance on Klook so we were able to enter the aquarium almost immediately.
The day pass includes free entry to almost all rides and attractions excluding some like the haunted house. We spent the entire day in Yokohama Sea Paradise and still felt that we haven’t seen everything. Overall, it’s definitely a place worth visiting.

It's a shame that when we went, the weather was bad. Still, we enjoyed ourselves very much especially at the aqua parks. My daughter is a big fan of seals, sea lions and other sea animals and she said she wants to come again next time. It's quite far from Tokyo so if you can, try to stay at Yokohama instead for easy travel and convenience.
They do not have the Sunfish or whale shark! However, it is still an amazing and beautiful experience. So many different species that I have not seen anywhere else. 3 stars because their dolphin pools were tiny, dolphin shows should not be okay, and one of the dolphins was cut up and bloody.
Some amazing animals on display and good variety of exhibits and performances.
The shows are all done in Japanese so bit hard to follow if you're an English speaker.
But the facility is looking old/tired and one of the 4 aquariums was not worth a visit (Umi Farm).8
The Leviathan roller coaster was also good but you need to buy tickets at the Aqua Museum before you go to the coaster.
Easy to get to via public transport.
I don't know if it's because it was winter or what, but it was surprisingly quiet! I took my partner here for the P3 collab, because he really likes the game, and we had a really good time! The stamps take you through all the important spots, and there was quite a lot to do. Unfortunately, there were quite a lot of things (the rollar coaster, the cruise, etc) that were closed while we were there for maintenance or due to "bad weather", which is a shame but I guess it can't be helped, maintenance needs to be done some time. Still had an excellent day out.
I will also say I was a little confused about the correct entrance, as I was expecting there to be admission, but apparently you can just walk in, and the tickets are just for the attractions, so that was pretty cool. Did mean we got a bit lost trying to find the "correct" route in though!
