Tempozan Ferris Wheel

4.4 (200)Ferris WheelTourist AttractionPoint Of InterestEstablishment

The Tempozan Ferris Wheel is a must-visit attraction in Osaka, offering stunning views and a memorable experience. Standing at 112.5 meters tall, it was once the world's tallest Ferris wheel when it opened in 1997. The ride lasts about 15 minutes, giving passengers plenty of time to soak in the panoramic views.

From the top, you can see Osaka Bay, Mount Ikoma, and even Kansai International Airport on clear days. The wheel features both standard cabins and see-through floor cabins for those seeking an extra thrill. At night, the wheel lights up in a dazzling display, adding to the magic.

The Tempozan Ferris Wheel is located near other attractions like the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan and the Tempozan Marketplace, making it a convenient stop for a day of sightseeing. The wheel's LED lights also serve as a weather forecast, changing colors to indicate upcoming weather conditions: orange for sunny, green for cloudy, and blue for rainy.

did this while waiting for my timed entry to the aquarium. 5 minute wait. if we had gone in the glass bottom queue it would have been a 30 minute wait. 15 minutes for it to go all the way around. enjoyed the ride went on a Thursday at 2pm

Me and my friend visited this huge Ferris wheel close to midnight, just before its closing time. There was no crowd, which was nice! The ride itself was super clean and spacious, and the glass floor added a cool touch since it’s see-through, giving you an exciting view of the ground below. The whole ride took around 10-15 minutes (I couldn’t quite remember), but it felt like a good amount of time to take in the views. The prices were affordable and very reasonable, making it a great option for a fun night activity. It’s located near the sea, so you get an incredible sea view and the stunning Osaka skyline as you go up. If you’re looking for Instagram-worthy spots, this place is perfect for capturing photos with the skyline and the Ferris wheel at night. Definitely a great experience and a must-do if you’re in Osaka!

Located right next to the Osaka Aquarium, this is a very cool experience if you have the time to spare and aren't too afraid of heights. The ride itself is about 15 minutes long and gives you a phenomenal view of the port, the Tempozan Bridge, and Osaka skyline. At night, the wheel is lighted and simply magnificent. Recommended!

The Tempozan Ferris Wheel offers a nice view, and the whole ride lasts about 15 minutes for one complete round. While the experience was pleasant, I couldn’t help but feel that one round wasn’t enough for the 900 yen price. It would have been great if they allowed two rounds instead of just one, which would make the ride feel more worth the cost. Still, it’s a fun experience if you’re in the area and looking for some scenic views of Osaka.

Some really phenomenal views of Osaka. There was no wait for the standard line. I didn't feel like I was missing much from the see through capsule. This was a perfect night time activity for anyone who doesn't care for bars. The price was inexpensive for 1 or 2 people. Might be steep for a family. Kids do ride free at the time of writing this but not sure what the cut off age is.
