Overall, it’s an amazing park! We had a great day. Some sets are more sophisticated than others, but the whole place is still stunning.
The only downside I noticed is the extremely long wait times for the most interesting attractions—sometimes almost 3 hours! I get the feeling it’s meant to push people to buy express passes, which are more expensive than the ticket itself and only cover a few attractions. They could simply limit the number of tickets sold to fix this issue, but of course, that would mean much less revenue for the park! Some experiences are also only available if you purchase certain goodies, which are quite expensive compared to the experience they offer.
The Super Mario area is absolutely stunning!
Magical experience! For Nintendo and Harry Potter lovers, this is quite a unique experience.
The rides were interesting, though lines can get pretty long. Make sure to arrive early, and if you don't have an express pass, take advantage of the solo rider lines!
Food across the park is good and reasonably priced for an amusement park.
Universal Studios Japan ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン
Visiting Universal Studios Japan was an amazing experience! While the park was quite busy and the wait times for rides were long, using the app to check real-time queue updates really helped us plan our day. The food at the restaurants was decent, and overall, it was a memorable trip filled with fun moments to cherish.
Don’t miss the souvenir shop! It offers a fantastic selection of items, perfect for keeping a piece of your visit or adding to your collection. Take some time to explore—you might find the perfect memento to take home.
One thing to note: the park has strict rules about taking photos during rides. Even if it seems safe, it’s best to follow their guidelines to avoid any issues and ensure a smooth, enjoyable visit.
The attractions are great and the park is created with a lot love to details. I highly recommend the visit.
The only downside can be the waiting times. In the morning it is fine but later the day the waiting times increases heavily up to 2 hours or more. So I highly recommend buying fast passes to skip the lines. This is the only way to get multiple attractions a day. You can try to rush all attractions in the morning but it won't work out completely.
Please keep in mind this whole park is cut out of an existing neighborhood. On certain rides with stairs you can actually see the factories/neighborhood on the other side of the wall at the park's extremities. Of you've been to Orlando, this park is the size of 2/3 of just 1 of the Universal Parks. But with the same concentration of people. There were lines for EVERYTHING! Food lines were long as all get out! You would literally be fighting for a seat at any of the restaurants. They only have very few thrill rides, 1 of which is closed for remodeling. It is the equivalent of the Hulk ride in Orlando. Looks like it's will be fun when finished. And the wait time for the Donkey Kong mine ride was 3 hours, IN FEBRUARY! I can only imagine the lines when the weather warms up. Happy I can came to check it off my bucket list, but even happier to leave. And unless you want to spend 12 hours in lines for the little games in Nintendo World, I wouldn't waste money on the watches for the whole group. Just get 1 as a momento and keep it moving.
