I visited the Hep Five Ferris Wheel in September 2024, and it was an amazing experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Osaka. I arrived at around 5:30 pm, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Watching the sunset from the Ferris wheel was absolutely breathtaking—the colors of the sky and the city below were so beautiful, creating a magical atmosphere.
Fortunately, it wasn’t crowded during my visit, so the ticket purchase process was quick and hassle-free. The staff were polite and efficient, which made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
The Ferris wheel itself is a standout attraction. As it slowly ascends, you’re treated to panoramic views of Osaka. From the top, the view is stunning, offering a unique perspective of the city. The combination of urban landscapes, distant mountains, and the warm glow of the sunset made this experience unforgettable.
The cabins are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with plenty of space to sit back and take in the scenery. It’s a relaxing ride that lasts just the right amount of time to enjoy the views without feeling rushed.
Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or with family, the Hep Five Ferris Wheel is a fantastic spot to add to your Osaka itinerary. It’s especially recommended for those who love photography or simply want a memorable way to see the city from above.

The Hep Five Ferris Wheel was one of the best experiences I had in Osaka. The iconic red Ferris wheel offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city that is nothing short of stunning, especially as you slowly ascend and can see Osaka spread out beneath you. The ride is a perfect blend of relaxation and excitement, and it’s a unique way to experience the city from above.
What really made the visit even better was that the line wasn’t too long during our trip, so we didn’t have to wait much at all. Once onboard, it was incredibly peaceful, and we were able to take in the panoramic view at a leisurely pace. The height may seem a bit intimidating at first, but as you rise, it’s pure awe and wonder to see the cityscape in every direction.
Whether it’s day or night, the view is spectacular. During the day, you get clear visibility of Osaka’s landmarks, and at night, the city lights up beautifully, giving a whole different vibe. It’s amazing how much you can see from the Ferris wheel, and it’s perfect for anyone who wants a memorable, relaxing experience.
The fact that it’s conveniently located within the Hep Five building makes it even more appealing, as you can also enjoy some shopping or grab a bite before or after your ride. The ride itself is affordable, and it feels like you’re getting way more than your money’s worth given the spectacular view and the overall experience. It does get a bit hot during the summer, but the view more than makes up for it.
I’d love to visit again, perhaps during a cooler season, to enjoy that serene ride once more. If you’re ever in Osaka, make sure to take a spin on the Hep Five Ferris Wheel—you won’t regret it!

Great view, only 800¥ per person. Definitely recommend for tourists/photographers. Staff are very friendly too.
Also in the cabin they have a bluetooth soundbar so you can play your own music during the 15 minute ride.
PS. Come here at night for the best view (or on a sunny clear day, pretty romantic could be good for a date night. Youre welcome 🫡
Amazing view and my kids loved it. Each car has a Bluetooth soundbar you can connect to, I guess some people can use it to play romantic music for proposal hahaha but we played A Whole New World which was also epic LOL.
