Sumo Morning Training Visit

Come check out a real sumo training session in Tokyo and see the wrestlers up close! This tour takes you into a sumo stable where you can watch the wrestlers go through their morning practice. It’s quiet and serious, but seeing how much strength and focus goes into their training is super interesting. You’ll get a true feel for what sumo is all about.

After the practice, you’ll get to take a group photo with the wrestlers—definitely a cool souvenir to remember the experience. All the training spots are in the Tokyo area, so it’s easy to fit into your trip. If you’re looking to try something different and totally Japanese, this is a great pick!

• English-speaking staff will assist outside, but training commentary will be in Japanese.

• The tour does not run on Sundays, and available dates may differ each month.

• If you choose the transfer option, pickup is available only at hotels in Tokyo’s 23 wards.

• Please wait outside the entrance until staff guide you in. Do not enter the stable on your own.

• Early departure means you may miss the group photo opportunity.

• Phones must be silenced. No phone calls during the session.

• Avoid bringing large bags for easy entry and seating.

• The schedule may change based on the wrestlers' condition. Your understanding is appreciated.

If you choose the transfer option, a driver will pick you up directly from your hotel in Tokyo’s 23 wards. Please be ready at the designated time.

Arrival at the Sumo Stable

Once you arrive, our staff will be waiting outside the stable. They will greet you and provide instructions and important rules before you enter. Please follow their guidance carefully.

• Duration: Arrival and check-in (approx. 15–20 mins)

Sumo Morning Training Observation

Step quietly into the stable and watch professional wrestlers go through their morning practice. This is an intense and disciplined session where you'll get to see sumo life up close.

• Time: Around 08:00

• Duration: 60–90 minutes

Note: Sessions may be slightly shorter during tournament season (approx. 30–40 mins).

Group Photo with the Wrestlers

At the end of the training, you'll have the chance to take a group photo with the sumo wrestlers—an unforgettable keepsake from your visit.

• Duration: Approx. 5 minutes

End of the Tour

The tour concludes at the sumo stable. If you choose the transfer option, your return transport will be arranged. Otherwise, you are free to explore the area on your own.
