This one-day bus tour takes visitors to the mythical village of Takachiho, located in northern Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan. The tour includes visits to several shrines related to Japanese mythology, such as the Amanoiwato Shrine and the Takachiho Shrine. Tour-goers can also experience the natural beauty and spiritual energy of Takachiho and the Takachiho Gorge, and see the Amano Yasugawara, a large cave where the gods are said to have gathered and deified when Amaterasu Omikami allegedly hid.
Pick-up starts 15 minutes before departure. Please give us the departure place and time.
Enjoy some delicious melons at the Road Station Shichijo Melon Dome, which features a building with a melon motif and serves as a specialty center.

The bus cannot reach the canoe platform in Takachiho because the road is narrow. Enjoy a walk in nature for about 15 minutes from the bus parking lot to the canoe landing.

Takachiho Shrine, located just west of the town center, is nestled in a grove of tall cedars. During the day the shrine's nondescript, unpainted buildings blend in naturally with the surrounding trees.
Visit the large cave where the gods are said to have gathered and deified when Amaterasu Omikami hid. See the countless piled stones that further enhance the mysterious and fantastic atmosphere of the area.
