Most beautiful garden - a must visit
I believe this garden should be number 1 attraction of Kyoto. It's so beautiful that words can not describe it. What's really amazing about this fabulous garden that has locations based on famous paintings such as Monet. Don't miss it. The view specially in a sunny day is priceless

A stunningly beautiful place on top of a mountain.
This is hands down one of the best garden museums that I've been to. All of the paintings were carefully presented and set in a very artistic manner. Even when Kyoto is known for its terrible heat during summer, this place is cool and refreshing. I saw how beautiful Kyoto and Shiga was from the observatory located in this mountain. I recommend you to bring your own food or snacks if you will be staying for a long period of time looking to the fact that there is only one restaurant available (reservations can't be made) and the food were... not up to my standard. If you wish to see illumination, visit between July 16 - August 28.
