Tour Itinerary

Arrival and Welcome (10 minutes)

Upon arriving at Kimono Roman, located on the second floor of Aoki Clothing Kurashiki Main Store, you'll be asked to remove your shoes at the bottom of the stairs. Please proceed to the second floor, where our staff will greet you and guide you through the process.

Kimono Selection (15 minutes)

Begin by choosing your kimono from a diverse selection that includes antique styles, pure silk, komon, tsumugi, and modern denim kimonos. Our team will assist you in finding the perfect kimono that suits your taste and style.

Dressing Process (20-25 minutes)

Once your kimono is selected, the dressing process begins. You'll start by putting on tabi socks, followed by an undershirt and undergarment. The kimono will then be carefully draped and tied, along with the selection of an obi, obiage, and obijime to complete the look. Our professional dressers will ensure everything is coordinated and comfortable.

Optional Hair Styling (10-15 minutes)

If you’ve chosen the hair set option, you’ll be seated for your hairstyle while still wearing the kimono. Our stylist will provide a beautiful hair arrangement, including accessories if desired, to complement your overall look.

Exploration Time (Flexible)

After dressing, you can explore the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter in your elegant attire. Take your time to enjoy the sights and atmosphere, knowing your belongings are safely stored with us.

Return and Changing Back (5-10 minutes)

When you’re ready to return, come back to the shop to change into your regular clothes. Changing is a quick process—taking about 3 minutes for men and 5 minutes for women. If you had your hair styled, simply remove the accessories and you’re all set to head out.
