1. Meditation and Introduction (15 minutes)

Begin your experience with a brief meditation session in the dark dojo, learning the traditional protocol that sets the tone for the training. The instructor will greet you and perform a purification mantra, followed by a demonstration of a few kata.

2. Changing into Training Attire (10 minutes)

Transform into a ninja or samurai by changing into traditional training outfits, known as the dojo samue. This step helps you fully immerse yourself in the authentic experience.

3. Stealth Steps Training (15 minutes)

Learn the core "Stealth Steps," which represent the Earth principle. These movements form the foundation of ninja training, emphasizing agility and silent movement.

4. Musashi-ryu Sword Techniques (15 minutes)

Practice basic sword techniques with a wooden bokken, focusing on the Water principle. This part of the training highlights fluidity and precision in your movements.

5. Shuriken Throwing (15 minutes)

Master the art of shuriken (ninja star) throwing, a key skill for mental training under the Fire principle. This exercise sharpens focus and hand-eye coordination.

6. Blowgun Shooting (15 minutes)

Exceptional, first-class a MUST do.

5 star, exceptional, first-class a MUST do. I took my 15 year old son here for his birthday. The service and lesson was both 5 star. We were fitted into Ninja costumes, and asked to knee at the centre of the floor. The teacher spoke to us with his back to us and we had to repeat his words, then he turned and faced us. You could feel the power and intensity. We were taught about the Ninja role, and asked to hold Ninja weapons and received an explanation how to use them correctly. We were then show the Shuriken (star), Blow Dart, and Throwing Darts, and we had a go using them using balloons as targets. We had private lessons and recommend it. Thank you Musashi Ninja Clan Honjin Dojo in Asakusa for these lifelong wonderful memories.

Becoming ninjas in the center of Tokyo

Although the new location was a little tricky to find in the beginning to find, this was an unforgettable experience for me and my friend. The class was handled by two people, the instructor and an interpreter, though the instructor did understand some basic English. They showed us many tools and weapons of the past, taught us the soft stepping techniques, had us throw ninja stars and throwing quills, let us practice some simple sword techniques and finally demonstrated sealing techniques ninjas did often to calm themselves before a mission. We were even given ninja garb at the beginning of the lesson to help us feel the part while executing the many techniques. Never once did we feel rushed and the two leading us gave us plenty of time to have fun while learning. Along with the skills they were teaching us, they also took the time to explain why things were done such ways in the past, and told us of the history of the ninja clans. This was a very fun experience that I would recommend to anyone with even the smallest interest in ninjas, either in their techniques or their history, as this class has both.
