It was a great experience! We had to wait a bit to get into the park and had to book a few Premier-Access-Tickets via App (before 10:30 a.m.). If not, you eventually can’t get into Fantasy Springs. This park is definitely crowded, so be prepared to get lunch at 11:00 a.m. or very late. Nevertheless I loved it! If possible, stay at a hotel near the park. It’s less stressful.
I visited Tokyo DisneySea on a weekday, thinking it would be less crowded, but it was still quite busy. It took around 30–60 minutes just to enter the park, but once inside, it was all worth it!
The rides were super fun and made for an unforgettable experience. I created so many great memories during my visit. The food was pretty good too, though I forgot to take photos of it probably because I was too busy enjoying everything else!
If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend going early and being ready for some waiting time. Despite the crowds, it’s such a magical place that’s definitely worth it! And don’t forget to buy tickets in advance.
Was a very difficult choice between Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. In the end, since my parents will join, we chose DisneySea.
It has distinct rides that are surely meant for adults and are mainly related to water, thus, the name DisneySea. However, it is advisable to buy an express pass if you don't want to queue. We queued for almost 2 hours in the Indiana Jones ride. It was worth it, though 😊
I went to Disneyland HK years ago and other theme parks, I must say they were well lit during night time. For DisneySea, I find the lighting a bit dark for a theme park. Or maybe this is what makes this park distinct from other Disney parks. The night view is still spectacular, though.
Also, there were other things I was looking forward to seeing: the parades, spectacular Christmas decors, and amazing fireworks. I was honestly disappointed by the ending fireworks. I feel it would have been better if they had used one of the main areas as a backdrop of the fireworks. There was also no castle, unlike in Disneyland.
The rides, ideas, and creativity of the theme park are all evident. I may have missed 2 hours due to the queue, so I guess our time here was not enough.
If I get the chance in the future, I'll be back to explore the park more. But I'll visit Disneyland first to have a comparison.
Tokyo DisneySea is undeniably a beautiful park, but my experience here was a mix of the good and the bad. Unfortunately, a lot of the rides were closed during our visit, which limited our options and made the open attractions even busier. The lines were EXTREMELY long, with wait times averaging 1-2 hours per ride, so a Premier Pass/Priority Pass is definitely worth it if you want to maximize your time.
The food was decent but nothing particularly memorable, though I did enjoy the white chocolate popcorn near the Mermaid Lagoon—it was a fun and unique snack. As for entertainment, the fireworks display at the end of the day was lovely and added a magical touch to close out the day. I cried 😅
Disney parks are a step ahead of the rest. This park is certainly one of them. With the addition of fantasy springs there are many lands and terrains to explore however with its current popularity and wait times it’s often hard to enjoy yourself. There were cues for shops and 1hr long waits for snacks and restaurants. Also you can’t get into fantasy springs without a booking so you have to be at the park super early and start spamming the app for stand by tickets. Long gone are the days of just getting in line. It’s to the point where you can’t even enjoy the surroundings at times because you are spamming the app to try and get ride standby passes just to wait in a regular cue. You can bypass some by paying extra but after the price of admission it feels like you have been nickle and dimed.
Over all, beautiful park. Some great rides if you can get on them. Peter Pan was simply amazing. The app is your friend but otherwise strap in bring a spare battery pack you’re going to be attached to your phone.
