What other travelers are saying about Fukuoka Tower
The tower is a beautiful monument, particularly at night when it lights up. We took the elevator to the top, finding the views to be extremely beautiful. I took several pictures from every angle, as you could see from the Tower every part of the city. On the first floor there were also shops to buy souvenirs, and I was able to find some excellent products to bring back to my friends. The service was also impeccable and, as has been my experience when visiting Japan, very professional and formal. If you're in the city, visiting the tower is a must!
The attraction is amazing. We can see the beach from here. It’s also cold inside, good enough to cool us during summer. There is a love lock vending machine available to buy locks and then put it with the rest.
Recently got to visit Fukuoka and the first place I went to was the Fukuoka tower. Amazing views I did go mid week in the afternoon and it was pretty empty. Everyone was really nice and I was by myself and had no language barrier. Either way awesome people, great views and would love to go back to Fukuoka.
Visited in October 2024. We tried to take a bus to Fukuoka Tower but we got on wrong bus and wound up at Pay Pay Stadium instead (which is about a 15 mins walk to tower. On the plus side, you can see the tower easier from far away.
We went at night and arrived by 7pm. They had Halloween decorations already and it cost 800 yen to go up the tower. As the name implies, this is a tower so there really isn't anything between the main floor and the observation deck... just a glass elevator that goes up and down. There was a short wait to go up.
They have some stamp stations where you can collect 6 stamps on a souvenir card (one of the stamps seemed to be running out of ink). Nice views of the lights at night.
There are spots where you can line up for pics (one was decorated with Halloween decorations. There is also another spot that can light up with hearts (read the instructions on how to light them up and change colors).
Wish they had a train that goes directly here. But it was fairly easy grabbing a bus back.
The view up here is spectacular! Although some windows have a web-like pattern that might obscure certain photo spots, the overall scenery is breathtaking.
There's a fun stamp card activity where you collect stamps from designated spots—kids seem to have a blast with this!
One corner of the floor features a "love bridge" similar to Paris, where you can buy a love-shaped lock and add it to the collection in the designated area.
Another area has a gacha machine where you can snag a random souvenir for 500 yen.
There's also an おみくじ pinball machine for just 100 yen. It’s a charming way to pass the time and see where the ball lands.
If you want to relax, there's a cozy cafe downstairs where you can enjoy the view with a coffee or ice cream.
Overall, it's a must-visit for anyone who loves stunning vistas! Btw, the ticket was 450yen per person!
