What other travelers are saying about Momochi Seaside Park
A good choice for leisure in Fukuoka Hakata area. The beach is okay, sand is good. But when we went, there was a foul smell in the sea breeze similar to a rotting crab (probably an isolated case). Locals are freely swimming in the area, and some groups bring their own food to celebrate. There is no entrance fee. There are lots of restrooms, and restaurants are in an area accessible by the beach. It's just a few-minute walk from bus stations, and nearby the Fukuoka Tower. Best place to watch sunset as it is located in the western part of Kyushu island.
A place to enjoy an ice cream from one of the few stalls.
The beach is just at the back of the tower.
Grainy, yellowish sand. I think it's not ideal for swimming; it's just a place to stroll around.
we cane when the weather is extremely hot and the sun shine very bright. if jot, this area would be very lovely to walk around and enjoy the view. it got some cafe near the beach
We disembarked from a ferry at Momochi Seaside Park coming from Uminonakamichi Pier. It was almost sunset and many people have gathered along the beach. The beach is clean and beautiful. And the water was calm when we were there. We strolled around, had ice cream and took photos of the Fukuoka Tower. We did not go up the tower anymore. Family was too tired after the activities at Uminonakamichi Seaside Park. We will leave that for our next visit.
