Admission tickets are required for children aged 4 and above. Children 3 years and younger enter for free.

Yes. The ticket only covers aquarium admission. Food, merchandise, and special experiences are not included and must be paid separately.

Pets are not allowed. Only guide dogs, assistance dogs, and hearing dogs are permitted.

Sunshine Aquarium is located on the rooftop of the World Import Mart Building in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. From Ikebukuro Station (Exit 35), walk about 8–10 minutes through Sunshine 60 Street to Sunshine City. From Higashi‑Ikebukuro Station (Exits 6 or 7) on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, follow the underground passage directly into Sunshine City, then proceed to the aquarium. Once inside, use the aquarium‑bound elevator on the 1st floor to reach the rooftop.

Awesome place for a date!
Very romantic spot for a date and amazing views of the penguins and fish. The ambiance was calming and there was even a convenient cafe in the venue if you get too cold or want to grab some food!

Small aquarium good for young kids
Check the show schedule near the entrance for the sea lion show and penguin feeding. Nice for younger kids. It’s a very small aquarium and we were done within 2 hours. There is an indoor and outdoor section. Being upstairs on top of Sunshine City, the outdoor area can get a bit windy.
