What other travelers are saying about Yokohama Motomachi Shopping Street

It is not crowded but it is filled with the right amount of people which makes it easy to move whilst feeling the buzz from the people around you too. It is such an amazing district and shopping street. It is filled with luxury local finds and some cheaper local goods. It is a blend of almost everything you want to see, enjoy and relax in. Its location is great because it is near to other great sites that are also worth visiting. They have good chocolatiers as well. I highly recommend visiting this shopping district. Also, if you enjoy shopping high-quality and fabrics, make sure to save space in your suitcase.

Quiet shopping street with upscale artisan shops mixed with luxury items. I'll admit, luxury isn't really my style (I'm the fancy watch sort of way), so I skipped over a fair number of shops. However, there was a nice leather shop (selling entire hides as well as bags) and a few other quite interesting ones that made it worth the visit. 🚶‍♀️If you're walking from Chinatown to the Foreign Cemetery, you'll walk right through, so you may as well have a look.

Best place to do shopping in Yokohama. Many branded clothings, wines, jewellery shops available. Adjacent to China Town and Yamashita park.

Very calming and peaceful, even on the weekends.Though many shops are not suitable for young people/ tourists, there is no doubt that you can enjoy a good cafe or shopping experience there. Near many attractions as well.
