What other travelers are saying about Osaka Science Museum
It can get pretty noisy here with all the kids 🤣 but the atmosphere is nice and lively, I guess. If you're a science person, then this place is definitely one I'd recommend you visit. The building is huge, and each floor has interactive exhibits and plenty of information. I didn't get the chance to visit the planetarium part, but I imagine it's pretty cool too!
Interactive large science museum. Some of the exhibit not only actively involved by your vision, but also your hearing, smell, and touch. Very interesting for kids also. They have around three levels and to enjoy all of the exhibit you have to allocate around three hours. Recommended to buy in advance for the planetarium.
I love how inexpensive it is (400 yen for adults, 350 yen for high school students, free for middle school and under.) The planetarium has a separate fee, but it's worth the price. The planetarium that we watched was difficult for our elementary and middle school kids (English and Japanese bilingual) to understand in Japanese, and I wished they used easier terms for little kids or something. Overall, it was good and the kids loved the experience.
The exhibitions were all good and educational. We spent a good few hours there.
A great place for young minds to spend a good few hours. All Planetarium shows Are in Japanese, but most of the exhibitions are interactive, and has English explanation of the theory behind it. Almost every thing is interactive and very fun, there over 80 things to play with. It’s 320 yen for adult, Primary school students are free. Very well maintained equipment very worthwhile to go
Easily spent 2 hours here. It's in Japanese but you will get through with google translate camera. Lots of school aged children, but it is interesting for adults as well. There's a small souvenir shop and restaurant.
