What other travelers are saying about Mount Chougatake

My first attempt at the popular Mt. Chogatake 🎶 The Mimata parking lot seems to be full the night before❗ Mayumiike parking lot at 6am on Saturday morning. I can barely stop. At first, you walk along the river and the forest belt continues. It’s also great during hot weather 🎵 There are quite a few stairs, so Everyone has a pole. When you reach the summit, the Hotaka mountain range is right in front of you. It's very powerful. Many people stay in tents So colorful I will come again.

The peak of Mt. Chogatake is not sharp, but rather looks like a hill. You can reach it by climbing a little from the butterfly hut. The summit is not a big deal, but the view from there is amazing. You can see Mt. Hotaka in front of your eyes.

Hiking in July The scenery here is exceptional. I want to climb it again and again. The curry and beer at the mountaintop hut were irresistibly delicious.
We entered from the Azumi Park direction and started from the Mimata parking lot. There is a stump of "Godzilla" that was naturally formed in the middle of the mountain trail (photo). At the top, there is a good view of the Northern Alps (from Mt. Yarigatake to Mt. Hotakadake). I stayed in a tent for one night, and I was so moved by the clear skies that the Big Dipper was covered in stardust.

It is a mountain that is easy to climb and offers beautiful views. There are routes from Kamikochi Bus Terminal to Tokuzawaen or Yokoo, routes from Mimata Parking Lot, and routes that traverse from Mt. Jonen.
