Unfortunately, drizzly weather accompanied us so views were minimal, gray and foggy. The visitor center showcased live displays of snails, lizards , beetles, frogs, snakes and fish of the area, lake formation info, a few interactive exhibits and several wildlife taxidermy. Peddle boats and kayaks were available for rental. TIP: A hotel & onsen are across the street of the visitor center’s main entrance. OVERALL: I bet this place is gorgeous in autumn…
Lovely green algae pond you need to be on the side of the river to see. The big lake doesn’t show the green colour. There’s a small museum to visit too.

Great place to visit either individually or with group. Beautiful scenic view of lake and river with activities and small eateries. Refreshing and relaxing place to unwind and recharge.

Beautiful lake with a few things to do around the visitor centre. If you are taking public transport, check the bus timetable on advance as it is infrequent. Would recommended taking a car though as you can not walk around much of the lake so you will need a car if you want to visit more than one spot around the lake
