What other travelers are saying about Furano Cheese Factory
Definitely worth it. You get to learn about the cheese-making process firsthand and even try making your own cheese. It’s a fun and educational experience for all ages. Plus, the factory is located in the beautiful Furano region, known for its stunning landscapes and lavender fields. It’s a great way to spend a day, especially if you enjoy culinary activities and want to try something unique.”
We didn’t join the cheese and milk tour. We were there to have the pizza. We ordered the margarita with onion pizza.
We also had the cheese soft cream. The place is sweet and nice to enjoy a pizza with your loved ones.
Had too much hopes expectations from this place and they were met but not fully. The pizza was good, very cheese and somewhat cheaper from what I thought it could be. I had thought it was going to be very full, but luckily we didn’t have to wait at all and the food comes out very quickly (it was after lunch time on a weekday). You can also get ice cream, including asparagus flavor, and local-made cheese – they had free samples and the smokey one tasted like heaven.
You can sign up for butter, cheese or ice cream classes here but do come earlier so that you can secure a slot. Cheesecakes are one of the best I have ever tried and the milk is heavenly. There is no aftertaste on your taste buds, and you can tell that it's extremely fresh. There is a pizzeria which also serves amazing pizza fresh from the oven. Highly recommended
This place is absolutely incredible and a definite must-see!
The Furano Cheese Factory is a haven for cheese lovers and curious travelers alike. We opted out of the guided tour since it was mostly in Japanese, but that didn't hinder our experience one bit. Wandering through the factory, we got a firsthand look at the meticulous process behind their delectable creations.
Watching the cheese being crafted, sampling the various flavors, and soaking in the rich, dairy-filled atmosphere made for an unforgettable adventure. The experience was both educational and delicious—truly a highlight of our trip!
