Joypolis is an indoor amusement park with a wide variety of rides and attractions. If you’re a fan of Sega, you’ll love what they have in stall. From Sadako (The Ring) themed attractions to Sonic and Groove Coaster themed rides and Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney side attractions, Joypolis contains a plethora of rides and attractions.
Joypolis does not have as many thrilling rides apart from their Geki-On Live coaster and Half-Pipe however their other rides and attractions are still fun and some were even quite scary (The Sadako one especially).
You can expect to spend about 3-6 hours here depending on the queues. If you’re entering during opening time, I highly recommend everyone to queue for the high-demand rides first such as the Geki-On Live coaster and Half-Pipe as the queue times can get as long as to 80 minutes during peak hours.
In terms of food, there is a food cafe available as well as vending machines that dispenses ice-cream and bottled/canned drinks. Joypolis also has a souvenir shop that you can buy gifts and mementos from although the prices can be a bit pricey.
It is highly recommended to get the Joypolis passport ticket. The passport ticket includes every single ride and attraction in the amusement park and is excellent value for money. Alternatively, if you only have one or two rides that you want to ride, the admission ticket is about ¥1200 for adults and the rides range from ¥700-¥1000 per ride.
Tickets can be bought in advance on platforms like Klook or on the day itself at the ticketing booth. It is recommended to buy the tickets in advance as the queues for the ticketing booth can be long during peak hours.
Overall, I’ve been to Joypolis twice and had a great time on both occasions. I can certainly recommend it for people looking for a fun-filled and great time at Odaiba.

I'd say it's very worth going as a Sonic fan!! Thank you Joypolis for bringing out the Sonic mascot! He was very adorable and I'm very happy I got to meet him finally💙
Either way, buy tickets in advance and try to go on a weekday. We bought our tickets on Klook and got the Buy 1, get 1 free deal for the passports.
Yes, it's a nice spot to go on a rainy day, but everyone else has the same mindset so of course it'll be busy. We went while the weather was nice out and it was not busy!
There are lots of crane games, lots of actual games and a few rides to go on! I'd say it's worth going!
Great for a rainy day. We came at 12 and played until closing time. The most fun rides were the wild rides.
Would totally recommend the halfpipe as well as it gives you a chance to spin as well if the 2 players stepped on at the same time.
The second great ride was the wild jungle. It takes you on a ride with the safari suv, but in the middle of the ride it flies as well. Great adrenaline rush feeling and taste of a real adventure.
The murder scene was very scary without being overly graphic.
The third thrilling ride was the wild flight. It gives you a chance to fly through the jungle with great twists.
Loved it, I wish I could have spent more time here. All the attractions I went on were very interactive and so much fun. The crepes are delicious, and the view from the restaurant at the top is amazing. The staff are all so cute, very friendly, and animated. This place makes me happy. It's a little expensive, the lines for attractions can get kinda long, and I wish there was more air conditioning. It was very worth it, though. I would definitely recommend visiting. I'm glad we came!
It can be fun for kids and maybe teenagers. I thought it was more about VR and augmented reality experiences, but the attractions are a little old school.
For example, in the laser shooting experience you are shooting still mannequins in a dark room, there’s no visual effects. The Sadako attraction (the Ring) was the worst -as the best, somehow. A comedic experience with low quality fx very poor and short.
We came on a Wednesday (Christmas day). Not crowded at all. We only waited 20min for the main attraction (a skating game). We bought the full pass on KLOOK (30 US dollars), but you can pay the entrance there and then pay for every attraction you enter (around 1000 yen = 7 US dollars).
The staff is amazing, very nice and willing to help at anytime. I’d go back only if I’m visiting with my little nephew.
