What other travelers are saying about Toei Kyoto Studio Park
We attended the demon parade, it was an interesting experience. The location is very nice and well played out.
The font shops and toilets were great, also fantastic to see a prayer room here!
There's also a stamp!
Kyoto Studio Park (Toei Kyoto Studio Park) is a fantastic blend of history and entertainment. It’s a working film set where you can explore traditional Edo-period streets, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a samurai movie. Watching live performances, including sword-fighting shows, adds to the excitement.
There are fun attractions like ninja and samurai experiences, costume rentals, and even an anime museum. Great for families, history enthusiasts, or anyone looking for something unique in Kyoto. A highly enjoyable and interactive way to learn about Japanese culture and cinema!
This is one of the unique and coolest attraction and experience you can find in Kyoto if you want something new and exciting. You can buy your tickets in advance to avoid the hassle.
They have a lot of fun activities to do here like the samurai experience and Evangelion base experience. If you want to experience some of the paid attractions, make sure to buy the bundle ticket for a full experience. Sometimes they also held seasonal/limited time events, I suggest checking out the latest on their website.
In addition, they also have various dining options to choose from, as well as souvenir shops with exclusive items only sold here.
Kyoto Studio Park also known as "Toei Uzumasa Eigamura" is the place where they shoot numerous samurai related films. If you like things related to history / samurai, I recommend visiting this place.
Very small park and there were barely any actors/actresses in costumes in the morning. Might be better in the evening. Definitely not worth paying full price for the admission.
Best suited for families with children and for people well acquainted with popular Japanese culture. We enjoyed the small craft market, but that seems like a temporary event. Although it advertises as "the real Edo experience" we found the "Edo wonderland" near Nikko much better.
