What other travelers are saying about Southeast Botanical Gardens
Much better setup although it’s small. There are many capybara ,200 yen for a cup of cabbage if you want to feed them. Lots of turtles, goats, birds . They also have parrots show which is fun to watch.
Would recommend u to walk during the night as it is not so hot and it may be more pretty with the illumination trail. But tickets for night walk is more expensive.
Basically a garden with ponds, many plants and some animals such as stocks, goats, capybara, ducks, monkeys.
Price for entrance is considerably high for the contents u will enjoy
Excellent spot if you have children. Kids probably can play with all kinds of animals for long time. They also have shows to keep you entertained. Also a buffet restaurant inside. Food is good. Make sure you get the lunch + park set so the buffet becomese half price. I only wish the welcome flower is fresh one like the one in Maui. Mahalo !
Way better than just any zoo! It was a whole experience! We paid for the 2,500 yen ticket at the entrance (todays rainy, and it’s early april) that included the indoor enclosure animals and the insect exhibit. There were so many animals you could feed, and all of the animals seemed very well taken care of and happy. There are so many beautiful plant species. There are a couple of fun little games to do, like fish and throw a heart into a heart shaped hole! There was a bird show that you can see from the look out point or from the cafe. The monkey enclosure was so fun! They were so silly and running around and trying to pull my hair. We spent about four and a half hours just exploring! I highly recommend this. Make sure you bring tons of 100 yen coins so you can feed all the animals.
A must see botanical garden where you can feed the animals. In every spot for animals to see, you can feed them for ¥200. Souvenir store is after you enter the garden, there's drinks and snacks to buy. There's guinea pigs, rabbits and a dog for you to pet. There's a separate spot for monkeys and a capybara to feed but has a separate entrance fee ¥1000, including food to feed the monkeys. Leave all your stuff outside their fence because they will steal your stuff. We went on a hot and sunny day, wish they have mist on random sposts as you wonder around the garden to avoid heat exhaustion. But overall, it's a nice place for everyone.
