What other travelers are saying about Southeast Botanical Gardens
Large water park and botanical garden with a few animals. The grounds looked run down and the plants neglected. Many of the signs on plants were faded and illegible. The evening light-up displays are probably a better use of your time. I was disappointed with this attraction.
American here. This is best described as a petting zoo / botanical garden. Some English. But google translate worked fine. Small monkeys, capybaras, and large turtles can all be interacted with. At night the place is illuminated but we missed that. Feeding the carp was interesting. Worth a trip for any American family.
What a cool place during the holiday time. The lights are so colorful and beautiful. I haven't seen anything like it. There are so many designs that it was so eye capturing. I would love to go back another year to see if the designs change or if they stay the same. Just heads up that if you purchase food from the food trucks, you have to have cash. I tried a churro and it was so tasty and fresh. I also tried the fried chicken and curly fries from another food truck and it was actually surprisingly good! I would absolutely go back and tell others about this place.
Fun experience for the show family, night or day. Days and night tickets are different and must be purchased separately. During the day they have a few interactive animal exhibits like Squirrel Monkeys, turtles, capybaras, and donkeys. At night, between Oct - May, the park has an illumination event that is pretty cool.
The lights were amazing, there were so much to see even in such a small area. The coconut trees were making everything come together in the park with a sincere vibe. There’s also a corridor that pretends to be stars, as fake as it sounds, it’s worth staring at it for hours. It’s to the right of the park. And there were ducks waddling in map 12.
