This park was built in edo period and provided to the general public. It has been famous for hanami of Sakura blossoms.
I came at early morning and already some people taking pictures. I came by taking the famous Sakura tram. You could also take pictures of tram with Sakura.
The park is not very big but nice. It contains three museums (of which the Paper Museum is the most interesting one),=an open-air stage (I attained an amateur show of very enthusiastic aged people and schoolgirls (from a junior school), very lively!); here is a kids' playground with a climbing hill/slide, and exhibits of an old streetcar s a steam locomotive which kids can climb. Of course there are toilets.
Also, the park boasts fountains – and very likely THE shortest funicular monorail in the world (free)!
Not a must-see bur definitely worth visiting if you're around.
I came a week early, but mainly to see the place as the setting for the anime MyGo!!!!!/Ave Mujica.
It's wide, spacious, and probably will look very nice in peak sakura season.
The park facilities are very interesting, and the children all seemed to be having a great time. There are clean public restrooms and vending machines, and you can also take a cable car to get there, so there's no need to worry about being overburdened.
The castle-shaped design is also very magical, and I highly recommend bringing your kids for a walk.
