From this point there is very good view fall and lake both , also snow cladding mountain ,rope way ride is. Very short and from top you can see lake and koggen falls clearly ,
For anyone visiting Nikko and looking to enjoy the breathtaking views of Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji, taking the ropeway is highly recommended. As the gondola ascends to the observation point, you’ll be surrounded by stunning views of mountains and forests.
The best time to visit is during the autumn foliage season when the scenery is absolutely spectacular. The ride takes about 5 minutes each way and can accommodate around 20 people per trip, so if it’s crowded, you might have to wait a bit longer.
We were visiting Nikko and have no regret visiting the ropeway. It was so beautiful in the winter. The ticket is discounted by 10% because we have the Nikko Pass All Area. The staffs were all nice and helpful, they stored our luggages for free.
Please come and see this on a clear day. I went when it was rainy, and saw nothing. But it was cool to go to the top, as it was 1373 metres above see level. I'm sure the views would of been amazing!! The return ticket was 1000 yen, and the ropeway goes every 10 minutes till 3:30pm.
I went there on November 4th 2024 culture day which was a government holiday and there we spent more than three hours on road with a long line of cars 🚗 🚙 🚗 but not only on that day but on the other day aswell coz one of my friend went on the other day told me the same thing so what I can tell you is early the best so you can have next. The color and the fall was perfect,and at the observation deck you will get a Mt Nantaisan,kegon fall,lake Chuzenji and some more to see.i paid 1000 for the ropeway.
