What other travelers are saying about Yakusugi Land
So beautiful. Starts off extremely easy (the basic loop is made for old people, I guess), gets progressively more difficult. I like that you can really select the type of walk you want as there are many loops.
We did this hike after Shiratani Unsuikyo so it was a lot more mellow and not too challenging. It can be slippery though so please be careful!
We just went to point 18 on the map they give you, but you can continue to climb up to Mt. Tachu if you're up for it. Make sure you're prepared if you decide to go beyond.
Loved all the bridges you crossed and the beautiful trees. Definitely recommend doing this if you're looking for easier hikes to do in Yakushima.
This is one of the most amazing places I got to visit on my trip. Everywhere you look is beautiful. The drive up is breathtaking. It is one of the big tourist places to see, but it is worth you time. There are looped trails, so you can pick your hike length for time or difficulty.
