What other travelers are saying about TeamLab Borderless
This place is a truly immersive and unforgettable experience that blends cutting-edge technology, stunning visuals, and interactive elements to create a world unlike any other. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by vibrant, ever-changing digital landscapes, making it feel like you’re walking through a living work of art. The installations are designed to be fully interactive, responding to your movements and creating a sense of personal connection with the artwork. Every room offers something unique, from mesmerizing light tunnels and cascading digital waterfalls to spaces where you can literally touch and influence the art around you. The infinity rooms, glowing flower fields, and floating lanterns make for some of the most breathtaking visual experiences. This is more than just a museum—it’s a sensory adventure. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a tech lover, or just someone looking for an awe-inspiring experience, this place is a must-visit. It’s also a fantastic spot for photos, but beyond the visuals, it leaves you with a deep appreciation for the fusion of art and technology. If you’re visiting Tokyo, don’t miss out on this incredible, dreamlike experience!
Absolutely amazing. Must must see. I recommend booking a ticket in advance and planning 90 minutes to enjoy the entire experience without having to rush.
There are many different rooms and the themes change while you explore it. This means, even going back to rooms you’ve already visited earlier can be worth I’d. Don’t rush!
The music definitely also added to the atmosphere and there were even people sitting on the floor just soaking up the whole thing.
If you have small kids, you should be careful not to lose them. It’s quite dark and even for me it was easy to get lost.
This was so cool! It was so fun. We couldn’t get into planets because it was closed but borderless was definitely an experience.
You just have to experience it yourself.
I do highly suggest that you get tickets in advance and get there early.
Their bathrooms are great. I can’t recall if I’ve pooped in them though. Clean none-the-less.
The mist room is cool if you go into the mist and take photos.
You can stay there as long as you want, but on average you can see everything in 1 hour. It's a unique experience. Buy your ticket at least 1 week in advance. If you're in Japan during peak tourist months, you should probably buy it months in advance. Highly recommended!
One of a kind experience and a really special digital art museum.
Be sure to be there 20-30min prior your booked slot and make sure to book an afternoon/early evening slot since you will easily spend 3+ hours exploring and wandering around.
We also enjoyed a good cup of tea and matcha ice with beautiful lightshow which is a nice moment of calm during the stay.
Definitely recommended.
