What other travelers are saying about Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine
A nice peaceful place when full festivities are not in swing. The shrine is very nice and a steady stream of ppl came to pray. I only came here to see where the autumn festival takes place.
I loved the tranquility and history of this temple. Not too crowded and a great place to take a stroll and do some photography while appreciating the architecture of this place.
After two weeks in Japan, I'm fairly sick of Shinto Shrines. They all kind of blend together. Which is why a unique one is so special. The bare wood of this Shrine sets it apart and really makes it a gorgeous place to visit.
27.11.2024 - a shrine with calming and peaceful vibe. Beautiful wooden architecture. It was not busy and filled with tourists, so we had a relaxing stroll there just before lunch. Thank you.
What a beautiful shrine this is. The setting makes it extra special and peaceful. In the surroundings you will find 2 noteworthy museums, one with the miniatures of the Nikko shrines and temples and another with the floats used in the Matsuri festival!
