Arguably the best display of bonsai in Japan. Exquisite and beautifully displayed bonsai, some dating hundreds of years old. The museum itself is informative and showcases more than just individual bonsai. Bonsai presented in an array of traditional settings indoors and outdoors as well as a central garden to sit and enjoy the outdoor display. Absolutely a 'must see' museum, especially if you have never had an interest or inclination towards bonsai.
Wonderful collection of trees with both permanent and temporary exhibitions. I would recommend coming in early. We arrived at 9:30 and basically has the garden to ourselves.
Wonderful museum starts with basic information on bonsai in general and how to view them. Afterwards you get to explore the garden with many beautiful bonsais on display.
I've lived in Saitama for over 26 years, but this was my first visit to the bonsai museum.
The bonsai were amazing and the security guard was very friendly and helpful🙏
Delightful building with friendly staff. Great explanation about the history of bonsai. Fantastic bonsai trees on show. Not too large so easy to get round and take it all in. Would definitely recommend going.
