What other travelers are saying about Kobe Port Tower
Great views of the port!
But if visiting in the afternoon, take note that the sun may be blazing into the tower, and making it warm inside.
They have a Art show and the neon lights with interactive screens are interesting, especially for the kids.
I have been up many observation decks around the world, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. There is an internal viewing gallery, as well as an area on the roof you can walk around. The views are fantastic. There is a revolving restaurant where you can order a basic meal, as well as a gift shop. There is ample parking nearby (for a fee). Admission is inexpensive. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Kobe.
1200¥ for all access to all floors and the very top deck outdoors.
Recommend grabbing a drink in the cafe where you can enjoy the views as the.seats rotate giving you 360 views.
Many stairs to get to the top top.
Cute photo spaces on the inside floor observation deck
The is a price for the rooftop & observation dec. 1000 & 1200 respectively. So just paid for the whole experience. There is an elevator & staff to guide you. Going down there is no elevator access but was able to see the rotating cafe in the middle section which was cool. Views from the top were also very nice.
The tower just reopened last April, and so I decided to visit the observation deck and rooftop. I bought the tickets 1 month prior to my trip to Kobe, with a time slot of 4:00pm. Unfortunately, that time it rained and I decided not to go to the rooftop floor because only raincoats are allowed.
On the observation deck, you can view the cityscape of Kobe and there is a spot where you can avail of their photo service for a minimal fee. For those people like me who loves to collect souvenir medals when visiting a tower, there are no available souvenir medals at that time.
Under the observation deck, there is an interactive museum, a cafe and bar (only available if you purchase a ticket with a "Cafe and Bar" option), a souvenir shop, and a gallery.
The lines can be long, so I suggest to come here 15mins earlier than your designated time. Book your tickets in advance as well because sometimes, the tickets with the time of your choice can be sold out plus it can save you a lot of time.
