What other travelers are saying about Kobe Maritime Museum
We loved this museum! It’s a great place to go with kids of all ages (but I’ll probably go back again without kids so I can spend more time learning and reading at my own pace.) Majority of the activities, panels and explanations were also in English. There are robots, interactive hands on games and exhibits to learn about boats, shipping logistics, port infrastructure, etc
Practice driving a giant 🚢 ship and operating a shipping crane.
A great variety of informative and beautifully designed technology both old and new.
The museum is located on the port where there are ferries and malls and events. We loved it, and will be back!
It is an educational place for kids to spend about 2 hours, it is located by the harbor. Upon entering, you are greeted with a model of ship from yesteryears, surrounded by smaller models of ships with great importance.
As you move along, you'll see the history of the Kawasaki Industry (from Kobe) including Shinkansen Model 0 to container ships to motorcycles. There are some arcade games involving riding bikes and jet skis as well as a train conductor simulator. Near the end of the exhibition is an automated robot assembling on command.
I went for Miku Exhibition.
Highly recommend to visit this place. Flight simulation (booking might be required). We managed to put our names on a waiting list and were given time to come back. Jet ski, motorcycles, robots in action and more. Kids loved this place. Tickets are very easy to by on entrance.
