Great guide, great experience
Our guide, Kaz was very knowledgeable, providing lots of information and history. He was helpful and friendly, answering all our questions. He took us to some great spots and we didn't have to wait online. He took care of us in the extreme heat, had bags and wipes for us when we needed. Very conscious of us and wanting our experience to be a good one. Very much enjoyed his company and guidance. Thank you, Kaz!
Delicious and Informative Tour of the Tsukiji Outer Fish Market
Our guide Shiro and his assistant Kato made all the difference in the success of this tour. In what would have otherwise been a bewildering place, they explained the attraction of various food stalls and their wares as well as the history of the Old Fish Market. We had the chance to sample of lot of different foods — ramen, sushi, dried fish, mochi, among others. Shiro explained that not every tour gets the same foods because of availability but that every tour gets as broad a sampling as we did. Our group was small with only four of us (I don’t know whether that’s unusual), but it made it easier to keep together in the crowded market.
I highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to get Shiro. His English is excellent, and he patiently answered all our questions. I never would have gotten as much out of visiting the Tsukiji Fish Market if I had done it on my own.
