荒川沿いにある大きな公園。ピクニック散策路と野球場付近を小さいこどもと一緒に散策。平日夕方くらいに行ったが殆ど人がおらず、広大な自然を貸切り、マイペースに歩く事ができた。結構な林道があったが子供もそんなに危険なく歩くことができ、2月だったからか虫もそんなに気にならず、過ごしやすかった。とてもおすすめできるが、駐車場のゲートがやたら狭いのは難点。最近の車は1850mmくらいの幅のものも普通に多いと思うけど、そのくらいの車でいくと徐行でも擦りそうで緊張するレベルの狭さなので注意。

さいたま市内では最も大きくて自然の綺麗な公園だと思います。敷地内ではデイキャンプやバーベキューもでき、テニスやサッカーのコートも併設されています。子供の遊具もありますが、数は少ないです。広場がとても広く平日などはほぼ貸切状態でのびのびと楽しめますので、バトミントンとかフリスビーとか遊び道具を持って行くといい運動になると思います。自然豊かで森のような公園なのでバードウォッチングもでき、野鳥好きな方々が望遠カメラを携えて散策する姿が見られます。午前中に行くと鳥さんだけでなく猫ちゃんもちらほら見かけることがあるので、ここに住み着いているのかもしれません。台風や洪水の時は浸水することがあるそうですのでご注意ください。

有料の区画サイトを初めて利用しました駐車場からも近く、灰捨て場や水場、トイレも歩いてすぐのところにあり1日堪能しました子供の頃の記憶ではあそこまで綺麗で便利なイメージがなかったのでびっくりでしたが11月末までは焚き火や外ご飯を楽しもうと思います追記今年度の火気利用が解禁になったので区画サイトを利用してきました。薪ストーブや焚き火台を試したかったので2区画借りました。祝日とは思えぬほど静かで人も少なくゆっくり遊べました。トイレは簡易ですが洋式水洗なので個人的には問題ないです。
