I finally got to check out NAKED meets Nijo Castle 2025 Sakura, and it was a really cool experience. Seeing a UNESCO World Heritage site lit up at night with projection mapping and cherry blossoms felt pretty special.
The light-up was beautiful and gave the whole place a dreamy vibe, and the projection mapping was big and flashy, which made it fun to watch. Since places like this usually close at night, just being able to walk around after dark felt like a rare treat.
For food and drinks, there were food stalls near the entrance, but the best spot was definitely the bar lounge inside Ninomaru Palace at the end. The space was gorgeous, the drinks were great, and it felt like a perfect way to wind down the night.
Some things to keep in mind:
• Go after 7 PM – It’s less crowded, and you’ll get to see everything properly in the dark. Photos also turn out better.
• Wear sneakers – There’s quite a bit of walking.
• Get tickets in advance – It makes entry much smoother.
If you’re looking for something to do at night in Kyoto, this is definitely worth checking out!
NAKED meets 二条城 2025 桜 に行ってきました。夜の二条城に入れるだけでもレアなのに、桜とプロジェクションマッピングが組み合わさっていて、なかなか面白かったです。
ライトアップは幻想的 で、歩いているだけで雰囲気を楽しめるし、プロジェクションマッピングは派手でインパクト大。歴史的な場所でこういう演出が見られるのは新鮮でした。
飲食は入口付近の屋台にもありますが、特に良かったのは 最後の二の丸御殿のバーラウンジ。空間が豪華で、お酒も美味しくて、すごくいい雰囲気。大人はここでゆっくり飲んでから帰るのが楽しめそうです。
行くなら 19時以降がベスト。夕方は並ぶことが多いし、明るいとマッピングの良さが半減するので、夜のほうがしっかり楽しめるし、写真も撮りやすいです。
それなりに歩くので、スニーカー推奨。あと、事前にチケットを買っておくとスムーズに入れる ので、余計なストレスなく楽しめます。
夜の京都でもう少し遊びたいな、ってときにはちょうどいいイベントでした。
たくさん歩いたので夜ぐっすり眠れました。
