Gas Tower
"Sapporo City Clock Tower" is one of the representative tourist attractions of Sapporo. It is a beautiful historical building that stands between the buildings in the street. The Sapporo Clock Tower is now a museum and an event venue for the Sapporo Agricultural School. The architectural space is divided into exhibition rooms and other multi-functional areas, walking from Sapporo Station Coming here, it took about ten minutes. 「札幌市鐘樓」是札幌代表的觀光勝地之一。是一棟聳立在街道中大樓之間的美麗歷史建築物,札幌市鐘樓現在是一間博物館,也是札幌農學校的活動場地,建築空間則分割為展覽室和其他多功能區域,從札幌車站走路過來,大約十多分鐘,還沒抵達時,遠遠的就看見札幌時計台的身影。冬天的札幌時計台改上了一層白雪,好像是聖誕節薑餅屋上的糖霜一般,超可愛!
位於熱鬧市中心的札幌市鐘樓,是北海道至今少數保存的美式建築,為日本在19世紀引進西方教育和北海道在開墾時期的象徵,市鐘樓的鐘聲甚至還被日本環境廳評選為「日本音樂風景百選」。
鐘樓是可以購票入內參觀的,裡面是有關時計台的相關歷史資料及介紹,鐘樓在剛開始啟用的時候是由人工拉繩索敲鐘報時,但因人工操作會有時間上的誤差,無法準確報時,後來才改用時鐘,在鐘樓屋頂上方的四面設置了擺動式的時鐘,每逢整點的時候會有清澈響亮的報時鐘聲,鐘聲鳴響已經持續超過120年了!
