據說本堂是高山市內最古老的建築，建於西元746年。旁邊的三重塔被很美，屋簷下的木頭塗了白色的漆，看起來好像在發光很有特色。不過裡面最引人注目的，我覺得就是那顆銀杏樹了，原來己經有1200年了，冬季無花無葉只有樹幹枝目都還這麼奪目，轉黃盛開時該會有多麼美麗，好想在他盛開時來看他一眼。

本來是跟朋友輪流在排丸明，信步走來就剛好看到國分寺，廟並不大但安靜，大家都來看有名的印度佛塔，壯觀的銀杏樹，我們去的時候銀杏葉還沒有變顏色但是並不減其姿色。我要幫朋友求御守，有趣的是，窗口沒有人，註明可以按鈴叫人，但也註明如果多按幾次都沒人的話....就是沒有人，我按了一次，有位師父來，把畫好的御守上蓋了一個今天的印章就可以交件了...還真...嗯，墨香味直到回到台灣還持續著。

2024.11.12造訪飛驒國分寺裡有一棵很大的銀杏樹，雖然還沒轉黃，但是另外有一棵楓樹很美，值得細細品味。

飛驒國分寺（飛騨国分寺；ひだこくぶんじ）為一真言宗佛寺，山號「醫王山」（いおうさん），本尊藥師如來。佛寺門口供奉著多個猿寶寶，吸引不少遊客來這裏打卡。飛驒國分寺歷史可以追溯至757年，目前寺內大部分建築物都是在19世紀初年重建，歷史價值不高。寺內有一棵巨型銀杏樹，不過粗眉仔到訪時還未換上秋裳，葉子依然翠綠。
