After finishing the trip of Ikomasanjo Amusement Park, we got off at Nishinokyō Station. As soon as getting off the train, we saw a large stone tablet standing on the platform with the characters "Yakushi-Ji Temple written on it. After leaving the station, we walked for about 5 minutes to reach Yakushi-Ji Temple.
Yakushi-Ji Temple occupies a large area, and its overall appearance is mainly red, which is quite solemn. The most eye-catching buildings are the East Pagoda and West Pagoda standing on both sides of the hall.
When we visited, the two pagodas happened to be open to tourists. There were statues of the four heavenly kings as well as sculptures of Buddha's life inside.
It is said that Yakushi-Ji Temple was established in 680 AD, which has a history of more than 1,300 years, and is listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
