Sumida Aquarium is a popular aquarium in Tokyo Prefecture. It is known for its "see-through" tanks, or "tōmei-suisō," which allow visitors to see sea creatures from all angles. The aquarium is located in the Tokyo Skytree complex, a modern tower.

The main attraction has an indoor tank where adorable penguins (penguin-san) and fur seals (azarashi-san) can be viewed from all angles. The name "Sumida" comes from the nearby Sumida River.

Visitors can see many marine displays at a glance when they visit the facility. One of the most popular areas is the jellyfish exhibition, where special lighting creates a peaceful atmosphere for viewing these graceful creatures.

The aquarium also maintains a dedicated space showing the diverse marine life of Tokyo Bay. It features local fish species and vibrant coral formations, and visitors often stop here to take photos and learn about the bay's ecosystem. Besides exhibits, Sumida Aquarium also has feeding demonstrations and educational presentations on marine life care.
