What other travelers are saying about Sapporo TV Tower
Like a mini Tokyo Tower giving a wonderful view of Sapporo city. As the city doesn’t have many tall buildings, despite the tower not being very tall, you are able to get a nice picture/view of Odori Park in the day/night.
It is really pretty during autumn, especially with the amber and red foliage around the park. At night, it will be lighted up, making it a perfect photo spot. For a small fee, you can make your way up the tower!
I didn’t want to go up but the spouse did…
EXPERIENCE:
Located at the east end of Odori Park. A mutton BBQ eatery, souvenir shop and a jumping contraption adorn the tower’s footing.
For tickets to the 300-foot high observatory, head to the third level. Entry was 1000 Yen p/p. It’s not a spacious deck though views were good. But, a good chunk of the viewing windows were blocked by retail shelves, photo booths and vending machines. Such a waste!
OVERALL:
Worth seeing if you have extra time and are into high vantage points.
