Beautiful Architecture. A short walk from the nearby attractions- Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture,
Tetayama air-raid shelter, and Sto.Domingo Church Museum - a good half day itinerary.
A nice hilltop shrine that offers a lovely view of the city, even at night!
Multiple tori gates and a small climb lead to the main shrine where you can pray , get your fortune, and enjoy food and drinks if they are hosting a festival at the time.
Amazing shrine full of history. We had to climb 200+ steps to reach it, but it was well worth the effort as we could also see Nagasaki from the top. Even though we went on a rainy day, it was really beautiful.
Magnificent! Going through those torii gates, climbing up the stairs and finally reaching the Suwa Shrine to offer prayers, the whole journey was very captivating. It took me about 25 minutes to reach here from Nagasaki station, for your information just in case you prefer to be on your feet than taking the tram just like me. Enjoy the tranquility.
