What other travelers are saying about Shinsaibashi Suji Shopping Street
Beautiful night view with all lights making it so colorful.
Very crowded with locals and tourists. Better allocate enough time for this area if you want to do something shopping and have meals here apart from just taking some nice pictures. Pretty much have everything here.
The vibe is very touristy and if you enjoy being in the crowd, this is the perfect place 😜. Become very crowded at night and it more lively during the night with all the light from the shoplots.
Most of the shops except for restaurant/ food closed pretty early, some close even before 9 pm, so plan your time wisely.
Very busy street filled with popular brand name stores as well as smaller thrift shops. It is a great area to walk down and "window shop".
If you do not like crowds or busy bustling streets then this might not be for you as there will be a lot of people even later during the day.
A little shopping advice for my fellow Americans, the prices are slightly cheaper but not that significant of a difference compared to back home. However, great to come and look around.
As crowded as it's, I founded it incredibly fun and entertaining to walk in these streets, they felt infinite and so many nice hidden gems here and there, go early and enjoy exploring.
Long shopping & dining strip in Dotonburi! There’s a shopping mall, high end & low end brands, vintage items, everything you need is here! Japan’s famous Cremia ice cream stand & Pablo egg tart are here too!
Osaka's extremely busy shopping street. Lots of shops lining the streets, as well as inside department stores like Parco and Daimaru.
You can find everything from high end shops to kitschy souvenirs and the popular pharmacies. Most of the stores do close around 8pm, and the place gets extremely busy past 5 pm with the street full of throngs of tourists.
