Shibuya Crossing

4.5 (200)Tourist AttractionPoint Of InterestEstablishment

Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo is one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in the world. Every few minutes, the traffic lights turn red in all directions, and hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people move across the intersection from all sides. It's a sight that captures the pulse of the city.

Located just outside Shibuya Station, this intersection is surrounded by bright billboards and giant TV screens. The area is a popular spot for shopping, dining, and nightlife. Shibuya Crossing is often called the "scramble" because people cross in every direction, creating a human wave that looks chaotic but somehow works smoothly.

The crossing has become a symbol of Tokyo's fast-paced, crowded life. It’s featured in many movies and TV shows, showing how the city’s energy can be seen in one place. The lights and the crowd make Shibuya Crossing a vibrant and lively spot, whether during the day or at night.

Standing in the middle of the crossing is an experience in itself. You feel the rush and energy of Tokyo around you. It's a must-see for anyone visiting the city, offering a glimpse into the daily hustle of Tokyo's people.

Great Experience, it will be crowded every time as it is famous in the world. Mainly we'll find lots of foreigners. I enjoyed seeing sports cars during weekend nights.

Madness.. one of the busiest crossings in Japan and area. Go during rush hour. It's more impressive at that time of the day to see the number of people crossing in multiple directions. Do not forget to take a picture of the Hachiko statue.

Iconic point in Tokyo. I went here during different times and the feeling is quite different. My recommendation will be to go always during the night because there are more lights and these make scene awesome
