What other travelers are saying about Namba Yasaka Shrine
My hotel was very close to the shrine, so I was able to go super early in the morning. When you visit, please remember to be respectful of the shrine grounds. This is a holy place first and foremost! It is a beautiful place with many altars to pray and offer coins at.
Namba Yasaka Jinja is a fascinating shrine located in the heart of Osaka, known for its unique and impressive architecture. One of the main highlights is the giant lion head-shaped stage, which serves as a symbol of protection and prosperity. This striking feature is not only visually stunning but also makes for great photo opportunities. The shrine is a peaceful retreat from the bustling city, surrounded by lush greenery and a serene atmosphere, allowing visitors to reflect and connect with nature. While it may not be as well-known as some other shrines, Namba Yasaka Jinja offers a more intimate experience and a chance to learn about local traditions and culture. If you find yourself in Osaka, this hidden gem is definitely worth a visit!
This place is impressive, you really ask yourself how all of this was built, even though you read about it. But it is so impressive. It's a peaceful place, surrounded by an area so crowded. I visited this early morning, I don't know how this is in the afternoon or evening, but i guess it receives a lot of visitors.
A beautiful and small shrine located walking g distance from downtown Osaka. Not over popular among tourists. They do sell amulets and charms. Expect to spend about 15 -30 mins exploring. The place was clean and inviting. Though we can’t get inside the mouth of the lion, you can walk all the way up to it.
A beautiful and small shrine located walking distance from Osaka station. They do sell amulets and charms. Expect to spend about 15 -30 mins inside cos we can’t get inside the mouth of the lion(Devil), you can walk all the way up to it.... When we were there, there was a drum "performance" by some children, adding up to the atmosphere...
